I spent the rest of the game looking for real life locations. Anyone visiting Denver should see it!!!!! It’s such an amazing place in real life, there’s a significant unconformity that you can easily see from the top of the sitting area-and it even has signage. The game really hooked me when I got to Red Rocks Amplitheater. I have moved the dam related info I had to new albums with more detailed descriptions:Įdit3: u/slyabney discovered 1+ buildings on Mormon Row in Grand Teton National Park Thanks u/Malcalypsetheyounger and u/Hares123 for letting me know the Dams were built for Firebreak. Purple Mountain: in "Emissions Joyride" and "Blast from the Past." Actually I can't even find a good picture of this, so I don't know what I'm looking for in TFW.Ĭody, WY: in "Farewell Tour" and "Last Girls on Earth"ĭubois, WY: newspaper source(?) of "Lafaytttes' Last Supper"Įdit: Welp all that painstaking formatting went out the window since I guess this sub has its own formatting for headers and whatnot? Locations mentioned in data points that I cannot find in TFW Geysers to the east of the Old Faithful Visitor's Education Center, south of the 2 rainbow pools: īuildings west of Song's Edge and South of Deep Din: ("Park Status" data point found in Building A)īuildings west of Old Faithful and North of Large Dam: ("Proposal Approved!" and "Inspection Failed" data points found in Building A) Geysers to the east of the Old Faithful Inn, north of the 2 rainbow pools: These are locations I have not yet found a RL counterpart for I guess one could be Beauty Pool, since it is referenced in the "Our Final Two Weeks" data point and I haven't found another location for it. Based on the location of Old Faithful and the Grand Prismatic it is likely that two mid-sized multi colored geothermal bacteria pools to the east of Old Faithful are either the pools in the Black Sand Basin( ) or the Biscuit Basin( ). Morning Glory being near Song's Edge is totally throwing me off trying to place the two medium sized rainbow hot springs. Real world locations in Montana (Roosevelt Arch) are displayed as closer to Devil's Grief (aka Denver), whereas Old Faithful is closer to Denver IRL. Note that TFW map is even more distorted and twisted, compared to a real world map, than the HZD map. I am not personally familiar with most of the area between these two locations so I can't accurately speak to what mountains or points of interest may be in between the two that show up in The Frozen Wilds. Guerilla had to fudge the distances between those two locations so we didn't have to travel forever to get to Yellowstone. The majority of Wyoming separates Denver, CO, (aka Devil's Grief) and Yellowstone National Park. This area might possibly be multiple buildings from Mormon Row) John Moulton Homestead Barn (Courtesy of u/slyabney. Lookout Point, in the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone Google Map of Real World Locations from The Frozen Wilds: īrink of the Lower Falls, in the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone Photo album of in game and real life comparisions with map locations: Locations I am fairly to 100% confident about In order to tag a spoiler in a comment, you must use the following format:.Once you've installed Discord on your computer, click the giant + symbol on the left menu, then click "Join a Server"and paste the invite link.
